Pierre MouDouRou -
Tennis Director
Pierre
was born and raised in Cameroon, but moved to Paris at the age of 15 to
further his tennis career. He attended tennis school at the French
Riviera. Pierre is a fully qualified tennis pro with French Tennis
Federation and USPTR.
Pierre
was ranked #1 in Cameroon in 1987 and represented Cameroon as a Davis
Cup player. Pierre was ranked the # 1 junior in West Africa as well. While
representing Cameroon in Davis Cup, he was selected as the Davis Cup
and Fed Cup Captain.
Before he came to US he ran many tennis camps in
France. He has
worked with all levels of players and is currently the head pro at the
Washington Club in Connecticut. We are very fortunate to have him here
at Beaver Brook.

Marc Clinton
- Tennis Professional
Marc was born and
raised in Connecticut. He graduated from Amity Regional High School
and from Harvard University with honors in Social Studies.
He comes to us with many years
of instructional experience including teaching at Winthrop Racquet
club near Boston, Welby Van Horn Tennis programs in Connecticut and
Pine Hurst, North Carolina. Recently he has been teaching at Trumbull
Racquet Club, Kings Highway Tennis Club and Fairfield Indoor Tennis.
Marc has been with us for two Summers, and has now joined our teaching
staff full time here at Beaver Brook Tennis club.
Marc is familiar with the many
successful instructional methods and brings this knowledge to the
court.

Brad Harrington - Tennis
Professional
Brad grew up locally in Redding, Connecticut. He is certified by The
United
States Professional Tennis Registry, The Connecticut Coaches
Association
and The United States Racquet Stringers Association.
Brad has taught throughout Fairfield County since 1988 and has trained
Tour
players, nationally ranked juniors and beginners alike. As head coach
for Joel
Barlow High School, he took them to Divisional and State
Championships.
After tennis, Brad’s other passion is music. He graduated with a BA
from
Radford University in Music, has performed nationally and continues to
compose and perform in his spare time. |

Morne van Staden - Tennis Professional
Morne Van Staden is still young at heart; enthusiastic about tennis and
of life. He was born in South Africa, and began his tennis
adventure when he was eight. Morne has been playing the game with much
determination since. Representing his province on many occasions as a
junior, the passion lead him into this coaching career at 19.
After taking the TCSA (Tennis Coaches of South Africa) exam he
became a qualified Instructor. Morne is also a qualified Professional
with the PTR (Professional Tennis Register).
In 2001, Morne founded his own tennis
academy. When he handed it over in 2005 it had 100 registered
tennis pupils. Morne was the coach of the top 3 juniors in his county;
he also traveled with his juniors to nationals. During the
2004 and 2005 season he was a leader at the Julian Krinsky Summer Program. Morne has also been called upon by South Africa's no 1
seed in singles and the no 1doubles seed for doubles Christopher
Haggared for training. He believes his passion for tennis is an aim to
help juniors in life skills. Life is all
about winning as well as losing. |

Boardman Festus -
Tennis Professional
Boardman Festus, a native of Nigeria, comes to Beaver Brook
Tennis from Honolulu, Hawaii where he worked as a tennis pro for the Alamoana Tennis Park. Prior to that, he was a tennis instructor for
Hastings Park and the Lockland Country Club in Hastings Nebraska.
He was the assistant men’s tennis coach at Hastings College after
graduating from college.
Boardman attended Hastings College in Hastings
Nebraska and played Division 3 NCAA throughout his college career.
As a junior, Boardman played in the all Nigeria Championships. He
was a NCAA Division 3 qualifier while at college and went to the
NAIA nationals in 1996. Boardman is USPTA certified. |

Norbertus Oduor
Ochiel - Tennis Professional
Norbertus Oduor Ochiel, a native of Kenya, comes to Beaver Brook
Tennis from the Parklands Sports Club in Nairobi, Kenya where he was
Head Coach teaching both adults and juniors for over ten years.
Prior to Parklands, Oduor Ochiel was assistant head professional at
the Rockslane Tennis Centre in England. He has also been a National
Schools Coordinator for the Kenya Lawn Tennis Association and
International Tennis Federation, where he organized tennis programs
and tournaments for four school districts in Kenya. As a player, he
represented Kenya in the All Africa games 1987-1999. He also
represented Kenya in Davis Cup play 1988-2003. |

Catalin Pavel -
Tennis Professional
Catalin Pavel, a native of Romania, comes to Beaver Brook Tennis,
from Turnu Severin Romania where he coached high-level junior tennis
for four years after graduating from his University program there.
He has helped many of his junior students earn top ten rankings in
their age groups and taken adult games to new levels.
As a junior player, Catalin placed in his
country’s top twenty and won national singles and doubles titles at
that time. Catalin is USPTR certified and holds a four-year
full-time Tennis Instructor ID in Romania. |
